Magellan Venus Radio Occultation atmospheric profiles Nasa Planetary Data System URL = pds.jpl.nasa.gov Search hints:Go to "Data Search". Under "Missions" pick "Magellan" then filter. Then pick "Radio Science Subsystem" from "instruments" and click "Go" The file VenusMagellanAll.tab was created by selecting the desired columns out of the raw data (mgn_rtpd.dat) from the PDS, and putting in the appropriate column headers manually from information found in the label file (mgn_rtpd.lbl). Then SplitMagellan.py was used to separate out the data in the file into individual profiles. The Magellan mission was a Venus orbiter, famous for mapping the surface in great detail using radar imagery. The Magellan mission also collected a small amount of temperature profile data. There is no additional profile data available on the pds site, beyond what is provided here.
