This group develops instrumentation for ground-based and space-based telescopes, with particular applications to characterizing exoplanet atmospheres. Thatte is leading development of the HARMONI spectrograph to be installed at the ground-based ELT. Bowles is carrying out detector calibration for the ARIEL space telescope.
